Luana Sandoval, a German/Nicaraguan singer-songwriter has a huge repertoire of songs covering opera, musical theater, jazz, Latin pop and pop. At only age 22 Luana had the opportunity to sing Carmen with the philharmonic orchestra Trier Germany and a leading role in the musical “Z-The Musical of Zorro”. In 2015 Luana debuted her dance play “Life of a Dancer” for which she also wrote the music. She also had a role in the movie “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas” and was a contestant on “American Idol Season 19”. She received positive feedback from the celebrity judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. She even received her first royalty check from the show for her self produced song “Leap Day”. Luana wrote the song “La Soledad” with Madonna’s former percussionist Miroca Paris. Her song “Sin Ti” has been used in the feature film “The Science of Fear”, directed, written and produced by actress Tijuana Layne. The song has also a sync licensing deal with the music library “Soda Box Music”, founded by Carolyn Baron. Luana performed in New York at Metropolitan Room, Drom, Zinc Bar, Grand Prospect Hall, Triad Theater, Don’t Tell Mama, Flushing Town Hall, The Actors’ Chapel, Theater Latea, Brooklyn Music Kitchen, Rockwood Music Hall, The Parkside Lounge, The Bitter End. In Nashville she performed at Plaza Mariachi, Tootsies, Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk and Rock n’ Roll, Johnny Cash’s Bar & BBQ, Tin Roof, Commodore Grille, World Famous Cat’s Meow. Under the supervision of George Caceres, CEO of Vocal Star, Luana performed at a showcase at the Hilton Universal in front of 20 agents and managers. In addition she performed at the award show which was hosted by American Idol’s casting director Josh Randall and was directed and choreographed by India Rischko-Masterson and David Lei Brandt. They both choreographed Lady Gaga’s Superbowl performance. Luana has been coached by Grammy winning singer-songwriter Keli Nicole Price who co-wrote the song Deja Vu for Beyoncé. In addition, the widely respected online music publication Heat Waves Magazine reviewed Luana’s song “Scent From Heaven”. The article praised Luana Sandoval‘s latest release “Scent From Heaven”, “it sounds so soulful. In 2022, she was nominated for the “Josie Music Awards” for best performance as a Bollywood dancer in the music video “One Name” by the Christian group Selah. The music video has currently over 44,000 views on YouTube. Luana produced and hosted her own TV show “Songs of my Life” where she interviewed the songwriters Matthew Chinitz, Lindsey Isaacson, Andrea Thompson, Nate Fitch, SJ Bennett-Li, Grant Ezell, Merna Lewis, Boomer Roe, Mexx Heart and Deborah Bishop. The show is currently airing on Access Nashville. Luana’s songs “Scent From Heaven”, “Road Trip” and “In Time” have been submitted for Grammy consideration by Grammy Award winner Kitt Wakeley.
