Tom Norris is a GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum award winning producer, mixer and mastering engineer. Born in Massachusetts, he moved to San Diego at a young age where he later started a band with a couple friends. Norris left shortly after the band signed to a major label to attend UC Berkeley and it was there that he started teaching himself music beyond the band, delving into production and sound design.
Norris started the popular “getyoursnackon” account on SoundCloud, where he’d remake and post popular songs. During this time in 2015, Norris also began working with electronic duo Grey – mixing and mastering the 3x Platinum hit “Starving” featuring Hailee Steinfeld and Zedd. He continues to work with Grey, having mixed and mastered their debut EP “Chameleon”, their collaboration with Camila Caballo entitled “Crown” for the Netflix original movie “Bright” and the 3x platinum, GRAMMY-nominated “The Middle” with Zedd and Maren Morris, which has garnered more than 1 billion streams globally.
Norris and Skrillex began working together closely on a number of projects including the Skrillex remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble”, the Skrillex remix of Ekali’s “Babylon”, the Skrillex remix of Pendulum’s “The Island Pt. 1”, the Skrillex remix of Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode”, From First To Last’s latest single “Surrender”, “Face My Fears” with Hikaru Utada for the third iteration of the Kingdom Hearts video game franchise, the “Turn Off the Lights” EP, “Way to Break My Heart” with Ed Sheeran, and Skrillex’s latest GRAMMY-nominated single “Midnight Hour” with Boys Noize and Ty Dolla $ign.
In 2019, Norris began work on Lady Gaga’s sixth studio album, Chromatica, mixing the entirety of the project, working closely with producers BloodPop®, Max Martin, BURNS, Tchami and more. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at #1.
Other notable projects include those for U2, Grimes, The Weeknd, Mariah Carey, Illenium, Gryffin and Porter Robinson.
