When Dutch Singer-songwriter and Music producer Jan van der Toorn started focusing on music nobody expected such a big success. As a 17-year-old teenager, he wrote his first songs and started singing. Now he can look back on gold and platinum awarded songs and albums written and produced by himself.
As a singer, co-producer and co-writer he was involved in various European #1 hits by artists like Nana, Pappa Bear, Toni Cottura and Marky Mark. As if that were not enough he also worked with artists like ‘N Sync, Boyz II Men, Snoop Dogg, The Backstreet Boys, Michael Bublé, Brian Adams, Simple Minds, The Brand New Heavies, Anastacia , Brian Mc~Night, Alex Prince & Mazaya, Sly and Robbie, Outcast, Ashanti, Yvonne Catterfeld, Die Prinzen, Negramaro, Zucherro Fornaciari, Irene Fornaciari, Coolio, Maxi Priest, Omar, Roachford, Ray & Anita, 2Unlimited, James Kakande, Jasper Forks, Eko Fresh, Samy Deluxe, Nena, Gestört aber Geil, and many, many more.
Jan also collaborated with other producers on different projects and produced/co-produced albums like SchwarzWeiss/Up2date, Fröhliche Weltuntergangsmusik, Männlich, Gute Alte Zeit, Perlen für die Säue and Berühmte Letzte Worte by one of Germany's most famous rapper Samy Deluxe. In 2014 Samy Deluxe, Derek von Krogh and Jan wrote and produced NENA’s album Oldschool. Jan van der Toorn collaborated with renowned DJ Fedde Le Grand to co-produce and co-write songs for Fedde's latest Album called Something Real, Charming Horses, Gestört aber Geil, Clixx, Good Weather Forecast, Anstandslos und Durchgeknallt, Mike Singer, Jan has the ability to go broad and write or produce songs in many different styles, Ranging from Pop, Dance & EDM, Rock, Reggae, Soul, RnB and Hip Hop/Rap. Currently, Jan is writing and producing with a range of talented new and established artists like German rap Giants Kollegah, Kollegah & Farid Bang, Ali As, Sun Diego/Sponge Boss, Sido and Capital Bra, who has just broken all records in Germany for most streamed artist of all time in Germany, so stay tuned for what's coming next
