Award-winning singer-songwriter, Sash Sings, aka Sasha Pannu, is the Geordie born vocalist with a deep connection to Electronic Dance Music.
Her half-Indian half-English heritage made her a unique feature in her small hometown village of Washington, Tyne and Wear. She describes her upbringing as a “happy clash of cultures,” one that gave her pride in her Indian roots and love for lesser known cultures, genres and styles of music.
Sash spent much of her earlier years experimenting with her vocal, delving into new sounds and developing her live looping skills. Her first major feature and co-write, ‘Deep Inside’ with house music duo PBH & Jack, was signed by Armada Deep. The track was labelled a ‘Dance Anthem’ and heavily featured on BBC Radio 1. It was a hit worldwide with plays from Tiesto, Oliver Heldens and Don Diablo. Now, having found her home in EDM, it was this song that firmly established Sash as both a hard-hitting vocalist and a songwriter within the genre.
Sash has since gone on to work with UK house producers eSQUIRE, Dario G, Ben Rainey, Tom Garnett, and other international artists. Her latest release and co-write, 'Lose Ctrl’ on Heldeep Records, once again came alongside house legends PBH & Jack. The club track quickly became an underground, lockdown anthem and suprassed over 1 million streams in its first 8 weeks.
Now based in Leeds, Sash is establishing her spot firmly in the UK Dance Music scene working with an array of established producers and songwriters on releases due for 2021/22.
