Chico Freitas is a composer, singer, and guitar player from Osasco, a city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. His singles were released with institutional support of Fábricas de Cultura. These tracks are from the album "Pelas Canções", which is slated to be released soon and will feature nine songs in a variety of styles, including romantic ballads, bossa nova, samba, pop, and music from the Northeast of Brazil. Freitas' music reflects his diverse and eclectic background, and shows an influence from the Brazilian Music Festivals (1965-75), as well as the Bossa Nova, Tropicália, and Clube da Esquina musical movements.
