Biography

Warningfield is an orchestral sci-fi pop collective based out of Paris and Los Angeles. Merging the talents of multi-platinum, award-winning writers, producers, and Grammy-nominated composers and performers, their music is a unique hybrid of dramatic underscore woven together with conceptual pop songs.

“1981,” Warningfield’s debut single, is a shimmering slice of dreamy retro synth-pop. The song threads us back in time and surveys the honeymoon period of pop music’s newfound relationship with computer technology. The lyric looks through the magical lens of our nostalgia, questioning if a simpler time ever even existed - and whether it would be worth returning to, even if we could: “If we could get back to that time / Would we change ourselves in the rewind? / Would we be better there / If time could get us there?”

Warningfield’s seamless mix of sounds and styles blurs lines and creates diverse, dynamic, and memorable soundtracks. Individually, the members of the group have placed their music in hundreds of films, TV shows, and video games. They placed their first piece of collective music in the trailer for the latest remake of Halloween (Blumhouse/Universal).
