Biography

Sebastian Arocha Morton is a Grammy-nominated composer, producer, and remixer who is one of the most innovative and eclectic musicians on the LA scene. Growing up between his native Mexico City and Europe, he has developed a unique sound by blending Latin, electronic, and cinematic music in very effective ways. His signature touch has led to collaborations with Sting on the Billboard #1 track “Never Coming Home”, Mary J. Blige's Grammy-nominated single "Whenever I Say Your Name", Enrique Iglesias' Billboard #1 single "Not in Love (feat. Floetry)", Santana's "One of These Days (feat. Ozomatli)", and eclectic drum programming and production sessions with the London Symphony for David Sylvian and Ryuichi Sakamoto's iconic "Scent of Magnolia".

Sebastian is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music with a degree in Film Scoring and Composition. He is also involved in composing and producing award-winning films, TV shows, and video games. Some of his recent work includes Fox's "The Orville", EA's "Madden 2019" and "Minions", Disney's "Iron Man Experience" and "World of Color", and prime-time TV hits like "Young Sheldon", "The Orville", and "Mr. Robot". He has also worked on films like "Robocop", "Draft Day", "Houdini", and Tyler Perry's "Alex Cross", among many others. His electronic production, sound design, and programming skills can be heard in many #1 box office hits, including "Iron Man 2" and "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water", and Jet Li's "League of Gods". One of his past works was the grand finale featuring Rick James for the Oscar-nominated film "Little Miss Sunshine", which also received a 2007 Grammy nomination. His original songs can also be heard in dozens of hit shows, including "CSI: Las Vegas", "CSI: Miami", "Boomtown", "Windfall", "Shark", "Fringe", and the Emmy-winning "Brothers and Sisters". Sebastian's electronic and dance work under the moniker ROCAsound can be heard on albums and remixes for Duran Duran, Fat Joe, Ricky Martin, Amerie, Kumbia Kings, Fischerspooner, Rick James, Jody Watley, Cafe Tacuba, Molotov, Donna Summer, Counting Crows, and Kaskade, among many others.
