A global traveller with four passports and a thirst for ethnomusicology, Amelia once performed daily for five months on an artificial island in Qatar, and lived for two years in the UK where she worked alongside notable British composer Michael Nyman and the LSO. Her innovative multi-media orchestral piece, The Cycle Symphony, premiered as part of the 2011 East End Film Festival and incorporated an audience of 500 bicycle-bell playing participants. TCS received #1 Critic’s Choice by Time Out London and landed Amelia on BBC Radio 1.
As an educator, Amelia founded the early childhood music program at Stephen Gaynor School and devised a series of extended day workshops at Avenues The World School. She continues to develop new opportunities that inspire a global community through open minds and compassionate hearts.
