​​Adam Calaitzis is a music producer and audio engineer with thirty years of full-time experience in the Australian music industry; his continuous engagement with studio-craft brings with it a tremendous depth of knowledge and fluency across all aspects of sound production. Adam honed his teamwork skills in the complex and demanding world of commercial radio, producing The Powermix Show on Radio 3XY, and working as a radio promotions producer at 3AW and TTFM. Since the late eighties he has operated one of Melbourne’s finest boutique music studios, Toyland Recording Studio, while he has remained active as a freelancer in broadcast, sports, entertainment, and fine music event production sound. With more than 500 album credits to his name, ranging across the broadest possible array of styles, Adam approaches each genre of music on its own terms and strives for excellence in faithfully realising each artist’s vision to make music and sound art that is beautiful, bespoke, and authentic. In addition to being a fine technician, Adam has an articulate and amiable manner that makes him an asset to any team, and his significant long-term client and collaborator loyalty speaks of the respect, care, attention to detail and continuity, and the passion and creativity he brings to every project.
