BOBBY VALENTIN is a legendary trumpeter, arranger, bassist, composer, record company executive, and entrepreneur. He has played an integral part in the evolution of modern Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Cuban music that today is called "Salsa." From his start as a much in demand performance and recording musician, Bobby Valentin as been an anchor and innovator in Latin music. From Boogaloo to straight ahead Salsa and Jazz, he's been an important component to it's creative and commercial development. As a trumpeter, bassist, and bandleader in NY and Puerto Rico, he has lead one of classic Salsa's most hit-making orchestras. As a founding member bassist and arranger for the world famous Salsa orchestra the Fania All-Stars, Bobby is an internationally known and admired musician.
