The music of Anglo-Australian alt.country artists - Dawn Moore and Brian Heywood - has a catchy, contemporary sound which combines the story telling of country music with the power of edgy roots rock instrumentation. The band line-up gives a powerful alt country rock sound led by Brian’s edgy electric guitar supported by a powerful rhythm section.

The Heywood & Moore Band have been making quite a splash over the last couple of years with three singles in the Top 40 Australian Country Tracks chart (Turn the key, Walkin’ after midnight and Headin’ home for Christmas) and a well received self produced album (Goodbye Yesterday) under their belts.

They were also nominated for a prestigious ICMA award (“Most popular independent duo”) and received an Akademia Award for ‘Best Americana Song’ for the title track of their album - Goodbye Yesterday. Their recent 'Loaded Dog' single was given 4 stars by TRIPLE J's Nkeche Anele and described as "Adorable" as well as being shortlisted for an International song writing award.
